People are more honest on national holidays like the Fourth of July and Columbus Day, but less honest around holidays that require family commitments like Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day. Overall honesty increased drastically following the attacks on September 11th, but dips by the same amount each year during the week of Christmas.
